Les Pieds dans L'eau is a family-run property adjoining picture-perfect Anse Royale Beach on the southeast coast of of Mahe. The grounds comprise five self-catering apartments, all of which have a kitchen, sitting area, terrace, private bath, TV, and Wi-Fi. Self-catering is the theme here, but if you don't feel like cooking, you can opt for the bed-and-breakfast of half-board options offered by the resort. There's also a restaurant on site.
The resort's just a short walk from incredible Anse Royale Bay, which has the white-sand beaches, crystal-clear water, and swaying palms of an island paradise. The bay's lagoon is fringed by a reef that keeps the water calm and allows for safe swimming year round. Near the reef, tropical coral fish abound, making this an excellent spot for snorkeling. If you feel like an adventure, Souris Island is a small island in the middle of the bay that's fun to kayak to and explore.
The resort's on-site restaurant, Les Dauphins Heureux, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day and has coffee, tea, and cocktails available until late in the evening. The restaurant specializes in authentic Creole cuisine, and it has an extensive Creole lunch buffet on the beach every Sunday. There's also live guitar music every Friday. Besides its restaurant, Les Pieds dans L'eau doesn't have a lot of extra frills. The beach here is world-class though, and you can easily spend most of your vacation basking under the warm tropical sun as every bit of tension leaves your body.
